In September, 1977, my wife Peggy and I left our jobs and home in San Francisco to live and travel in Ecuador. Our savings dictated the length of our stay, which turned out to be about 7 months.I wrote about our trip at the time. More than 30 years later, I have done some re-writing and I'm posting these stories here, along with photographs taken at the time. I've tried to retain the tone of this account as it was originally written. Any mistakes, inaccuracies or ignorance are all mine.
